Want Balance? Be Intentional

I’m writing this in between recording training videos for the Balanced Busy application.

Patience isn’t my strong suit. Coding and development take time. My mind moves fast, and I need to be careful not to let it get ahead of the interval needed for focus.

I write to release the energy, and today, while recording, something clicked that I want to share with you.

It’s about intentionality. Or more specifically, the gap between having a plan and actually living it.

Are you noticing the same thing as me right now? When it comes to marketing, AI is raising the floor, but not the ceiling. I imagine this is true in most businesses, but it’s super apparent in real estate.

With all the tools available today, it’s easier than ever to look “decent” online. With the click of a mouse, AI can build you a website that’s “OK” or write a social post that looks passable, but when you slow down, you realize these actions lack substance and, even worse, soul.

The result? A beige-filled world.

But here’s the opportunity: as the public gets accustomed to this mediocrity, enormous value is emerging for agents who grow their businesses in authentic, intentional ways. Not by doing more of what everyone else is doing, but by being genuinely strategic about how they spend their time and energy.

That requires three things: Planning, Execution, and Analysis.

I’m often asked how I’m building AI into Balanced Busy. The truth? I’m moving slowly with that, especially in the planning stage.

While I am sure AI can help agents create a plan faster, after 23+ years coaching agents to execute their business plans, I’ve noticed something interesting: When agents don’t write the plan, they don’t do the work.
